Donald A. Young Obituary (1943

YOUNG, Donald G. "Donnie" Age 76, of New Paris, Ohio died October 18, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 25, 1943 to Robert and Sophia (Raichel) Young. He was raised and lived in Hazzard, Kentucky before moving to Dayton after graduating from M.C. Napier High School in 1961. He retired after 30+ years as a truck driver for Arkansas Best Freight Co., was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel, and a member of Teamsters Local 957, the Moose, Eastern Star Lodge, Sons of Amvets, and Sons of The American Legion. Donnie liked to fish, travel and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. He is survived by his son David, daughter Melinda Carberry, grandchildren Joshua Chitwood and Mekala Carberry, brother Jerry Young and Kay Potter, niece Kathy (Mike) Lynch, nephew Mark (Christen) Young, loving friend Judie Gonet, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Sophia, and brother Bobby Young and nephew Randy Young. A memorial service will be held at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home, 1632 Wayne Ave. (Dayton, Ohio) on Friday, October 25 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
