Obituary for William George Cruise


Cruise, William George age 70 of Centerville, Ohio passed away on Aug. 25,2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lilian Marie and George Edward Cruise, and brother Robert. He was a graduate of Fairmont West High School, class of 1966. William was proud to serve his country in the United States Army, and did one tour of duty during Vietnam. He supported his family with over 30 years of employment at General Motors. He is survived by his daughter Erica Marie (Nathan) Milligan, sons Mark Edward (Adrienne) Cruise & James Richard (Erica) Cruise, the mother of his children Jean Cruise, sisters Patricia Cruise & Judy Stevens, brothers Richard & John Cruise, grandchildren Liam Richard Cruise, Megan Lilian Cruise, & Thomas William Milligan.

William was always one to embrace life. He earned a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo and taught martial arts for more than 20 years. The purchase of his Harly Davidson led to years of adventures with the Harley Owner's Group. He became a certified scuba diver and loved his world travels with the Southern Ohio Diving Academy. His current passion was ballroom dancing and in the past three years had mastered all of the ballroom dances. In every pursuit William valued he was a passionate practitioner. He will be sorely missed.

There will be celebration of life for William at the Kettering American Legion Post 598 on September 5, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. 5700 Kentshire Dr. Kettering, OH 45440
