Obituary for John Stacey

John Stacey, 92, of Spring Valley, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018. John honorably served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp during WWII and the Vietnam War. He once owned Stacey Bait Co., where he handmade fishing lures, even securing patents for many of his original designs. He deeply loved the outdoors and as an avid fisherman, he enjoyed being a member of Stillwater Bass Club. John is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; sons, Gary (Bing) and Nevin (Wanda); grandchildren, John, Michele, Brian, and Jennifer; and great grandchildren, Sage Marie, Ethan, and Haley; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends 6-8 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Schlientz-Moore & Reis Funeral Home, 1632 Wayne Ave., Dayton. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 30th at Lifepointe Church, 4555 Marshall Rd., Kettering. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. If desired, contributions may be made in John’s memory to Kettering Medical Center Foundation. Words of encouragement may be sent to www.reislegacycenter.com.
